 The South End Branch Library had been slated for a major renovation since before the “refresh” of floors, paint, furniture that took place in late 2019/early 2020.  With the flood in spring of 2022 and the catastrophic damage to all the systems that run the building, BPL and the City decided to accelerate the development and building of a new branch in winter of 2022.  Articles start before that time as FOSEL began actively preparing for a new building process.
