The Boston Public Library is governed by its nine-member board of trustees appointed by the Mayor of Boston, and meets regularly at he Central Library or at one of the BPL branches. These meetings are open to the public. The president of he BPL, David Leonard, and his team give informative updates about developments in the BPL system.
